Cahaba Pain and Spine Care, a well-established Birmingham, Alabama interventional pain management practice, has an immediate opening for an Interventional Pain Physician to join our growing team! The physician will join our team of four physicians and 7 midlevels in our Hoover, Alabama office with no remote travel. Our facilities include multiple in-office procedure suites, including C arm and ultrasound, with updated new patient and follow-up clinic rooms, and Digital Xray in house. 98% of procedures are done in the office, with occasional surgery center and hospital procedures. Our focus is on exceptional cutting-edge interventional pain techniques to minimize the need for medication therapy.

The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of interventional pain management experience, ACGME Pain Fellowship, Anesthesiology and Pain Management board certification or board eligibility. We are willing to mentor and train the right candidate.

Requirements:

· Proficiency with fluoroscopically guided cervical, thoracic, and lumbosacral procedures, such as epidurals, medial branch blocks, spinal cord stimulation, and radiofrequency ablation.

· Proficiency at ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve and joint procedures

· Willingness to expand knowledge base and learn new techniques

· Ability to develop and implement a comprehensive treatment plan to relieve, reduce or manage pain and help patients return to everyday activities.

· ABA Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesia

· ABA Board Certified or Board Eligible in Interventional Pain Management.

· Fellowship in Pain Management.

· Excellent bedside manner, sound judgment, good communication skills.

· Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary care team.

· Desire to help patients in need, show compassion, and the ability to empathize with patients in pain.
