Dr. Thoma has been practicing in Birmingham since 2012. He has always enjoyed excellent relationships with his patients and the Alabama physician community. He is regularly sought to give his expert medical opinion on potential legal cases and has done chart review for the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners.

Dr. Thoma and his wife founded Cahaba Pain and Spine Care in 2016 to deliver compassionate, function-improving pain care to the community. He performs all routine pain blocks and injections as well as more advanced pain procedures such as Spinal Cord Stimulation, Vertebral Compression Fracture Kyphoplasty, and Stellate Ganglion Blocks.

When he is not taking care of patients, Dr. Thoma enjoys the outdoors including trail running and hiking with his family.
