Though originally a Birmingham native, I returned to the area around two years ago from Gulf Shores, Alabama. My previous 12-year work experience provided me with extensive knowledge on hospitality management, most of those years specializing in financial literacy. My expertise in this field is what provided me the opportunity to join Cahaba Pain and Spine Care in September of 2017 as the bookkeeper. Although I was happy to contribute my financial skills to improve the clinic, I wanted to pursue a more direct approach to patient-care as I believe I could apply my hospitality and financial proficiency to improve our constantly advancing health care system. With the help of Dr. Thoma and Dr. Martin, I was able to achieve this goal as the practice manager. This position has fulfilled my career and personal aspiration for greater health care involvement. My mission at Cahaba is to learn all roles and aspects of the clinic in order to effectively implement a strategic vision of excellent patient care as well as making the practice a great place to work. I believe that this is foundational to forging a successful and passionate care team.
In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, yoga, cooking, music, and discovering new eclectic eateries around Birmingham.
