Emily knew she wanted to become a nurse after receiving care for a rare autoimmune disorder at an early age.
Her undergraduate coursework was completed at UAB, where she graduated with nursing honors and magna cum laude.
She has previous experience working in cardiac surgery. She was involved in numerous complex heart surgeries and organ transplants.
After working for several years, Emily felt a calling to further her professional career. She decided to attend her previous alma mater, UAB. She graduated cum laude with her Master of Science in Nursing. Emily is board-certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Nurse Practitioner in adult and gerontology acute care.
Emily is passionate about connecting with people and assisting them through managing their pain. She is delighted to be a part of a truly compassionate team.
For fun, Emily enjoys singing in her church choir, spending time with her dogs, watching college football games, and traveling with her husband.
